Yes – it’s that time of year when personal development junkie’s start getting excited about the prospect of opening up a new planner to get their intentions written down in and start getting focused on their actions for the year ahead.
Whether you’re a seasoned user of a planning tool or a ‘planner virgin’, the research is officially out there to prove that writing down your goals increases the chances of getting them!
Not only does dedicating some space and time to really delve into what you’d like your life to look and feel like pay dividends, it’s also fun!  Sitting down to consider what you really need to honour  your life can be an act of (the somewhat overly used but nevertheless useful expression) self care!
The post Christmas, pre new year quiet time provides the ideal opportunity to engage in some self reflection  that supports you to get going when the new year kicks in, with renewed clarity and purpose.
So, find that special place where you can think, make that brew, light that candle, breathe, sit back, start putting pen to paper and enjoy getting curious about what appears on your new page.
If you can’t access a quiet space then invite friends and family of different generations to join in, get creative and start imagining all the different things that you’d like to be, do and have in the year ahead! Creating some joint goals could give you a collective energy boost and an opportunity to create memories and meaning!
